Synopsis
"You cannot see me from where I look at myself." (Francesca Woodman)
The construction of the body and personal identity has become an incessant and complex pursuit. The reflected image is often regarded as a source of absolute truth, potentially playing a crucial role in the formation of self-image and the construction of identity.
I cannot deny that body construction and identity are interconnected; however, various factors such as culture and interpersonal relationships have a significant impact on shaping this journey, this notion of self-acceptance and authenticity.
With this work, I intend to challenge the idea that the mirror is the only source of truth about who we are, and to explore the path of searching for identity, acceptance, and the discovery of the feminine.
